Here’s a thing about me: I’m lazy.

Really, really lazy.

That’s why I wrote this post for all you lazy people out there. I see you. I understand you.

So here are some lazy ways you could make some extra money this week:

1. Make an Extra $1,200 This Year Watching Videos From Your Couch

Here’s the thing. Once the kids are in bed for the night, I don’t want to leave my couch.

The good news is you can make extra money — you guessed it! — without leaving your couch. All you need is your phone or computer. (The beverage of your choice is optional.)

A free rewards website called Swagbucks will pay you to take surveys. All you have to do is answer some questions about yourself, and you can get paid. Heck, turn on Netflix in the background if you want.

This might sound too good to be true, but we talked to one Swagbucks user in Pennsylvania, 52-year-old Carolinda Hendrickson, who earned $1,200 in a year. Not bad for something you can do from your couch.

It takes seconds to sign up, and you can even earn a $5 bonus.

2. Play Games for a Chance to Win Cash From This Bank Account

What if there were a game that added money to your bank account when you played it? Now that’s lazy!

It sounds like something out of a movie, but Long Game is real, and we’re in love.

Here’s how it works: Do everything you would normally do in your banking app, like spend and save, and you get to play games of chance where you can win cash. You can win anything from a penny up to $1 million.

You’ll begin the game by setting up your account. Then, every time you use your debit card or save, you’ll be able to play games. You can set personalized savings goals, and you’ll earn chances to play while you save and spend.

Here’s the best part: You can’t lose — you can only earn more money.

It only takes a minute to get started and see how much you can win.

3. Find Money You Didn’t Know Was Yours

Don’t feel like working for extra money? Find stuff you’ve already earned and forgot about!

Search online to find unclaimed money from retirement accounts you’ve forgotten, old security deposits and more. Check the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators website to find out how to search in your home state.

This strategy can only help you find your own misplaced money. If you happen to forgo laziness when it comes to keeping good track of your cash, you may not find anything new.

4. Turn Crumpled Grocery Receipts Into Free Gift Cards

What do you usually do with your receipts? You check out, they hand you a mile-long piece of paper, and you frantically stuff it to the bottom of a grocery bag. Pretty worthless.

But a free app called Fetch Rewards will turn them into gift cards. It partners with tons of brands to give you points for every grocery receipt you share. Then you can exchange them for gift cards to places like Amazon, Walmart, Chipotle and dozens of other retailers.

And it’s perfect for those of us who don’t want to put a ton of work into this. All you have to do is send Fetch a photo of your receipt, and it does everything for you. No scanning barcodes or searching for offers — and you can use it with any grocery receipt.

When you download the app, use the code PENNY to automatically earn 2,000 points when you scan your first receipt. Then start snapping photos of your recent receipts to see how many points you can earn without a single trip to the store!

Not so bad for a useless receipt, right?

5. Get Paid to… Sleep?

You mean you go to sleep every night and don’t get paid for it? Your luck may be about to change.

Turns out several million people in the U.S. toss and turn every night. That’s why numerous hospitals have dedicated entire divisions to studying sleep — and they’re willing to pay you several thousand dollars just to watch you nap.

Some cities have a higher concentration of facilities that pay sleep-study participants, but it’s worth seeing if you can find a facility in your area.

6. Play Free Scratch-off Tickets

This isn’t a guaranteed way to make money, but if you’re just sitting around and being lazy, why not?

Try playing free scratch-off tickets using an app called Lucktastic. Each day, it releases a new assortment of digital scratch-off tickets. Lucktastic says instant wins range from $1 to $2,500.

You can also earn tokens that you can exchange for free gift cards to retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Sephora and more.

The app is supported by advertising, which allows it to keep the payouts high and the games free. For more info, check out Lucktastic here.
